Originally from the UK, with a degree in engineering from University of Bristol, Jim in his twenties led a mobile telecom engineering company as well as led global enterprise solution sales for Lucent Technologies. A life defining series of events led Jim at 30 to choose a purpose-led life following his heart to make significant impact on global poverty and sustainable development. In the 2000’s Jim founded an adventure challenge team and led a social movement community partnership helping 1000’s of people out of poverty in Indonesia, while consulting on authentic leadership and community engagement. In 2010 Jim joined World Vision where over 12 years he led the global digital transformation and revenue turnaround of the category leading philanthropic subscription experience - Child Sponsorship - across 27 markets, benefitting 15m vulnerable children in over 50 countries. In 2022 Jim founded an innovative community decarbonisation and electrification initiative, a scalable model focused on empowering 200,000 households and businesses to reduce their energy-based carbon emissions 70% by 2030. Jim currently runs an Executive Advisory helping leaders to develop and grow a sustainable triple bottom line, through transforming their organisations to become purpose-led, customer-centric, planet sustainable and socially impactful. Jim is married to Jane – together they have two young daughters and currently live in Sydney.
