Your teams are missing something. But it’s not resources.

Squad60: Your teams are missing something. But it’s not resources.

The biggest issue in the Squadify global dataset is consistent: teams don’t feel they have “enough resources to get the job done”.

But look one level deeper. Just behind it sit three other gaps: no “clear plan to achieve goals”, no “effective process for decision making” and no reliable “support from others in the organisation”.

That isn’t a resource problem. It’s a clarity problem wearing a resource problem’s clothes.

When people say they need more (more headcount, more budget, more time) they often mean something else: “I don’t know which of these things matters most, and neither does anyone else.” Pouring resources into that fog doesn’t help. It just gives more people more to argue about.

The fix isn’t to find more. It’s to decide. To choose. What is the plan? Who makes which calls?

Answer those, and the resource gap often narrows on its own. Teams using Squadify to improve clarity show a 17% improvement in their resources score. Leave the questions unanswered, and no amount of headcount will close the gap.
